its raining again.
today, i heard thunder.
loud, scolding.
i can hear the raindrops beating on the window pane,
alive and wanting to come in.
thunder strikes again. angrier this time.
my heart beats faster, and i ask myself
if it was angry with me.
perhaps the heavens are shedding tears
...or celebrating all that is to come.
i too feel it inside me,
joy and sorrow, all at once.
a restlessness in my heart i cannot explain.
but expressed perfectly by the dissonance
outside my window.
